Maze chase is one of the best easy-to-play vintage genres. However, they lose to modern, high-quality creations in plot and action mechanics. This game is an overhaul of the nostalgic labyrinth hunt with thought-out characters, combat development, and a lot of screams.
Dark Deception: Chapter 4 moves Doug Houser to the next realms packed with fears of his mortal past. Reaper Nurses, Joyland mascots, and Mama Bear are ordered by their boss, Lord Malak, to stop the protagonist from collecting the ring shards. With witch powers granted by his ally Bierce, he has all chances to escape unscathed.
Two last abilities unlocked in the horror episode are Telekinesis and Vanish. From now on, Doug has the full kit available to upgrade as you wish. Magnetism draws crystals from a distance. Transparency makes the character invisible to monsters until the physical encounter. You can always take experience points from old skills to boost fresh powers.
As usual, the runner needs to adjust his tactics if he wants to survive. For example, White Nurses must be avoided in stealth mode in contrast to the common entities. But no matter the enemy, just move your legs to win the game!
